Two Omaha teen-agers face charges after allegedly running over a pedestrian in a parking lot and leaving the scene.
Omaha police report officers found 60-year-old Jeffrey Grieves dead in a parking lot just off the intersection of 10th and Bancroft Streets in the early morning hours of Saturday.
According to police, the investigation revealed a car entered the parking lot from the southeast entrance off Bancroft Street, driving west through the parking lot. The car ran over Grieves. The car stopped briefly, but then left the scene.
Police arrested 19-year-old Orlando Santacruz-Navarro, the driver, for leaving the scene of a death accident and 18-year-old Jesus Dominguez-Navarro, a passenger in the car, for tampering with evidence. Both charges are felonies. Both have been jailed in Douglas County.
