A 20-year-old Lincoln man faces numerous charges after leading state troopers on a high-speed chase on Interstate 80 which ended in a Lincoln neighborhood.
The Nebraska State Patrol reports Holden Ludwig hit up to 132 miles an hour during the chase Monday evening.
According to NSP, a trooper clocked a westbound Ford Mustang going more than 120 miles an hour on I-80 in Lincoln. Another trooper further ahead on I-80 was notified and began pursuit of the car when it passed him going better than 120 mph.
The car left I-80 at the NW 48th Street exit, going north. NSP says the car increased its speed, hitting 132 mph in a 45-mph zone on NW 48th Street near Gary Gately Street. The trooper, worried about public safety, broke off pursuit.
The vehicle turned east into a neighborhood. The trooper spotted it parked in front of a home on NW 45th.
Ludwig has been jailed in Lancaster County.
