The doors are officially open on the Harvest Edition of Junkstock, one of Nebraska’s largest repurposing event. Spokesperson Danelle Schlegelmilch says, “This is like a vintage festival meets Woodstock meets a flea market on steroids. We have a kid’s area that is free where there are bounce houses, face painting, giant kites, pony rides and a petting zoo. We also have bonfires and hayrack rides this fall. A beer garden so there is a whole weekend of festivities.”
The event also features several hot air balloons and a balloon glow during the evening hours. They also have several 1,000 pound pumpkins on display children to enjoy.
Schlegelmilch says they have over 200 vendors that feature one-of-a-kind items, vintage and artisan merchandise that can only be found at Junkstock. There is live music, food trucks and other fun activities to enjoy.
