For 26 years, Omaha movie expert Bruce Crawford has brought a classic film back to the big screen for a special one night showing. On Friday, November 9th, he put together a special throwback dating back to 1985 – Back to the Future.
Crawford says, “We are going to have two people from the film itself. The man who wrote, produced and co-created it, Mr. Bob Gale. Mr. Gale will be the guest speaker and actor Harry Waters Jr. who is well known to the fans of the film as Marvin Berry, Chuck Berry’s cousin who sings “Earth Angel” at the prom dance. He is even going to sing it live on stage at the event.”
Crawford says there will be a DeLorean outside of the Joslyn Art Museum to set the scene. They also have the original “Enchantment Under The Sea” prom banner from the film.
The event is open to the public and it will be held at the Joslyn Art Museum at 22nd and Dodge Street starting at 7 p.m. Tickets are $24 and are available at all metro Omaha area Hy-Vee Stores.
