An 18-year-old Bellevue woman has been killed after losing control of her car and crashing into vehicles stopped on the shoulder of an Omaha street.
Omaha police report Amanda Kost died of the injuries she sustained at a local hospital.
Police say three vehicles traveling north together on JFK late Monday morning stopped on the shoulder due to a mechanical problem with one of the vehicles. Kost was also traveling north on JFK. She lost control of her car, it began to fishtail, and she ran into one of the vehicles, triggering a chain reaction as each vehicle hit the one in front of it.
None of the drivers of the three vehicles were injured in the crash.
The wreck remains under investigation.
