The Midwest Medical Transport Company says it will be sending eight crew members and four ambulances to help with recovery. The crews are expected to be activated for seven to 14 days. Eight additional crew members have been placed on standby.
The Federal Emergency Management Agency will assign the crew members upon arrival.
“I am incredibly proud of our providers who are taking a risk themselves and making sacrifices by leaving family and other obligation behind to help our fellow Americans impacted by this unprecedented storm.” CEO Jeff Shullaw with Midwest Medical Transport Company said in a written statement. Helping these communities will not affect our day-to-day ability to provide timely medical response for all the communities we serve.”
Members deployed from Midwest Medical Transport Company are from Nebraska, Kansas/Missouri, Ohio and Texas.
