A 26-year-old Omaha man has been sentenced to more than a year in prison for failing to register as a sex offender.
The United States Attorney’s office reports Sire English has been sentenced to 15 months in federal prison for failing to register with the state when he moved to Omaha. After his release, English will be placed on five years of supervised release.
English was convicted of enticing a minor in 2013 in Pottawattamie County, Iowa. He registered as a sex offender in Iowa and Arkansas, but failed to register in Nebraska. United States Marshals arrested him in June last year.
