The Nebraska State Patrol says none of the injuries are believed to be life-threatening.
According to the patrol, the school bus had been stopped at a railroad crossing on Highway 20 near Osmond at 3 o’clock Tuesday afternoon. The bus had its flashing lights on. As the bus crossed the railroad tracks, the semi ran into it.
NSP says there were 25 students on board, plus the bus driver. The three injured students were taken to Osmond Hospital. One was transferred by medical helicopter to Nebraska Medicine in Omaha.
The driver of the semi, 62-year-old Allen Lambrecht of Beemer, was not injured. Neither was the bus driver.
The crash remains under investigation.
