A 42-year-old has died after he had been shot in the chest and apparently jumped out of a moving car in north Lincoln Thursday evening.
Lincoln Police Chief Jeff Bliemeister identifies the victim as Stacy Talbot.
Bliemeister says someone reported to police they saw a man jump from a moving vehicle near 14th and Judson Streets around 8:30 Thursday night.
Police and rescue workers found Talbot. He was taken to a local hospital and pronounced dead after 9 o’clock that evening. An autopsy has been ordered.
No arrests have been made.
Bliemeister says the investigation is in its early stages. He says detectives have been searching the area and talking with witnesses.
Lincoln police are asking for the public’s help in the investigation.
