Those wanting to learn about what goes bump in the night can learn more this Friday night at the University of Nebraska – Omaha. It is the 8th Annual Paranormal Summit hosted by UNO’s Paranormal Society.
President Kyle Finley says starting at 6 p.m., the public can get a glimpse into another world. Those attending will hear from experts on paranormal activity. Groups that investigate haunted locations will show their evidence as well as demonstrate the technology they use in their trade. Experts will also share stories on supposed haunted places like the Villisca Ax Murder House and what was Fort Omaha, now Metropolitan Community College.
Finley says, “Our group focuses specifically on the science aspect. There is a lot of subjective material out there where people have experiences but what we want to see is objective proof of paranormal happenings caught on video, caught on photo or with voice recorders. We want something that can be proven and that is what the summit is all about. People bringing in the evidence that they have collected over the years.”
At 9:30, participants can take part in a ghost hunt on campus and work with the paranormal groups to learn about the technology they use.
The summit will be held in the CPACS Building, room 101. The registration fee is $10 and parking is free on campus. All proceeds will go to the Red Cross.
