Sheriff: Alcohol likely a factor in fatal Gage County crash

November 15, 2018 By Nebraska Radio Network Contributor

One person was killed in a single-vehicle crash early this morning in eastern Nebraska’s Gage County.

Gage County Sheriff Millard Gustafson says the fatality victim was the driver of the vehicle that rolled over.

He is identified as 44-year-old Paul Baehr, of DeWitt.

The accident happened near the west border of Gage County. Baehr’s vehicle was traveling east when the vehicle left the roadway for an unknown reason. The driver was ejected from the vehicle and authorities say it rolled over him.

Gustafson says Baehr died at the scene.

The victim was not wearing a seatbelt and sheriff’s investigators believe alcohol was a factor in the accident.
