A wrongful death lawsuit has been dropped in the fatal 2016 crash which claimed the life of 20-year-old Igor Solokhin of Lincoln.
Solokhin’s parents had sued Joshua Falk as well as his parents, who owned the car he was driving the evening of April 14th of 2016 when he ran over the scooter Solokhin was riding. Solokhin died of his injuries the next day.
Prosecutors first filed motor vehicle homicide charges against Falk, but dropped them after witnesses stated the headlight on the scooter wasn’t turned on.
A joint motion to dismiss the civil lawsuit has been filed by both families a day after an agreement was reached to distribute a $258,000 settlement to the parents of Solokhin as well as to pay attorney and hospital bills.
