The Nebraska Tourism Commission has released the most-visited sites from its annual passport program.
In 2018, the Nebraska Passport sites most visited were the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Dairy Store, the Rabbit Hole Bakery in Lincoln, as well as Piezano’s in Lincoln.
A record number of people submitted Passports with all 70 stops stamped; just shy of 750 at 749. That is far more than last year, when 469 tourists got all the stops stamped or 2016 which saw only 168 complete the entire passport.
Most of those crowned “Passport Champions” were Nebraskans, but others who visited each site were from the neighboring states of Iowa, Kansas, and Missouri, but also from Illinois and Minnesota, as well as from Oregon. In total, 418 Nebraska residents participated in the program as well as residents from 46 states.
Participants didn’t just visit ice cream shops, bakeries, and restaurants. They also visited museums, stores, and had some adventures in the great Nebraska out-of-doors.
