Lincoln police are investigating a single-vehicle crash Sunday in which a Lincoln police officer might have been drinking.
Police Chief Jeff Bliemeister says a pick-up crashed into a pole on the Northwest corner of North 45th and Vine Street.
The driver and sole occupant was Lincoln Police Officer Matthew Brodd, off-duty at the time of the accident. Brodd was treated and released from a local hospital for injuries sustained in the accident.
Bliemeister says the preliminary investigation indicates that alcohol might have been a factor in the wreck.
Bliemeister says the department is awaiting test results before deciding on the need for any additional internal investigation.
