An 84-year-old Lincoln man has died in a house fire.
Lincoln Fire and Rescue reports Jerry Snyder died Wednesday in a fire at 1930 South 44th Street.
Authorities say a neighbor called in the fire after seeing flames coming from the windows of the house. Fire crews saw smoke and fire visible when they arrived at the scene around 11 o’clock Wednesday night.
Firefighters removed Snyder from the burning house. They also found two dogs dead inside.
A preliminary investigation indicates no signs of foul play. The House did not have working smoke detectors.
The investigation continues.
