Neal Lynch, the son of Dorothy Lynch, died October 30th at the age of 82 in Livingston, Montana.
Neal helped his parents at their supper club in St. Paul, Nebraska in the 50s in which his mother’s salad dressing was featured. At age 18, Neal decided to bottle and try to sell his mother’s creation while his parents were away. He peddled the dressing to restaurants and grocery stores throughout Nebraska. It caught on.
Dorothy and Arthur Lynch sold the recipe to Gordon “Mac” Hull in 1964. The family still receives a royalty for the use of the name.
