Gov. Pete Ricketts has appointed Chief Human Resources Officer Jason Jackson as the next Director of the Department of Administrative Services.
“In his role as Chief Human Resources Officer, Jason has been instrumental in coaching our agency leaders to be more effective, efficient, and customer focused,” Gov. Ricketts said in a written statement released by his office. “There are many opportunities at DAS to help our state agencies do an even better job in serving taxpayers. As the next Director of Administrative Services, Jason will accelerate our progress toward operational excellence.”
The governor’s office says Jackson has spearheaded several initiatives, including reducing the number of state employees, implementing pay for performance, and updating sexual harassment policies.
Jackson, a Navy veteran, spent eight years leading human resource teams in the tech industry.
Jackson will retain his role as the Governor’s Chief Human Resources Officer. His annual salary will be $160,000.
