Stanford Athletics is apologizing to the University of Nebraska after a whiteboard drawing of their mascot putting a gun to the head of Herbie Husker went viral.
The image appeared in the background of a celebration photo taken in the Stanford locker room following their 5th set win against Nebraska in the National Championships.
“Hell to the Huskers” could also bee seen written on the board.
After the image became widely shared, Stanford’s Athletic director, in a statement, said the image was unacceptable and does not reflect the values of the University.
