An Omaha native, son of Polish immigrants, who served in three wars has died at his retirement home in Arizona.
Leo Dulacki was 100.
Dulacki began his service in the military during World War II after he graduated from college in 1941. Assigned to the USS Hornet, Dulacki served during the Battle of Midway and survived when the Hornet was sunk. Dulacki went on to log a combat tour in the Korean War and two in the Vietnam War.
Before he retired in 1974, Dulacki earned the rank of Lieutenant General and became Deputy Chief of Staff for Manpower for the Marines.
Dulacki graduated from South Omaha High in 1936. He was named to the school Hall of Fame in 2013. He graduated from Creighton University in 1941.
