Nothing says welcome to a cold Nebraska morning like a furnace not working during sub-zero days. That could happen to many this weekend when the cold spell hits. Gunnar Guenette is the marketing manager at Getzschman Heating and Air in Fremont says there are a few things you can do now to prevent a service call when the temperatures plunge this weekend.
Guenette says, “Make sure you have a clean filter in. That is a very important thing with the heating system to make sure the air flow is good to the unit. If there is a variance between the temperature in your house and the thermostat of more than five degrees, it may need to be looked at to make sure it is running properly.”
Guenette says it will be an “all hands on deck” situation for most heating and air companies this weekend and they will have extra technicians on hand ready to help people get the heat back on if they encounter problems.
