Husker Super Bowl streak continues

January 21, 2025 By tim.sheridan@nebraskaradionetwork.com

Ndamukong Suh and Rex Burkhead

The Husker football program extended its streak of having a former player in the Super Bowl.

The nation-leading streak reached 26 straight years with former Huskers Ndamukong Suh and Rex Burkhead advancing with the Los Angeles Rams and New England Patriots respectively.

Former #Huskers @NdamukongSuh (Rams) and @RBrex34 (Patriots)will square off against one another in #SuperBowl53. #GBR leads the nation by having at least one former player make it to the Super Bowl for 26-straight years. Pretty impressive streak. pic.twitter.com/8TH1UnjPPO
