Isaac Copeland’s college career ended prematurely on Saturday in a defeat to the Ohio State Buckeyes.
It came during a dead ball situation. On the second possession of the second half, Copeland went to dunk the ball after the play was whistled dead on a travelling call. He fell down from the rim, slamming his knee into the hardwood. Before he limped off the floor, he had scored 8 points.
The fifth year senior battled through back problems at Georgetown before finding a new home with the Huskers, transferring to Nebraska back in January of 2017. Copeland was the only five-star recruit to ever play for the Nebraska basketball program.
On the season, Copeland averaged 14 points and 6.7 rebounds per game.
