Game week is here for the Cornhuskers who shift from fall camp now to get ready for Saturday’s opener. Of the players and the positions that bring up the most conversation, you have to look at the offensive line.
Bo Pelni said true freshman Tyler Moore had an excellent camp and could be the starting right tackle. Redshirt freshmen Jake Cotton is a leading candidate for right guard, but with so much youth it also leaves a lot of question marks on the o-line. It’s possible as many as four starters on that line could be a sophomore or younger, some of that due to injury.
I think the other big question mark is depth at quarterback. After Taylor Martinez, not a lot of depth with the injury to Tyson Broekemeier who tore his ACL and Bubba Starling who left to play ball for the Kansas City Royals. Can a potential young and inexperienced line protect Martinez for a whole season?
